Our Mission

Long Beach Felines is a non-profit organization with the mission to rescue, protect and find loving homes for stray, abandoned, neglected and abused kittens and cats.  We host a weekly Cat Adoption event.  We promote the joys of the feline-human bond and strive to enrich the lives of both our rescued cats and their adopters by connecting the two.  Long Beach Felines is also committted to educating the public about responsible cat guardianship, general cat care, and the importance of spaying and neutering.  We are advocates of Trap-Neuter (and Spay)-Release (TNR) by actively participating in TNR programs within our communities and surrounding areas as well as assisting the general public with TNR efforts.

Who we are

Long Beach Felines is an all-volunteer organization with 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status pending. Our founding members have over 20 years of combined cat rescue experience and have collectively placed over 500 cats into loving homes.  We have no paid staff and receive no government funding.  We rely on fundraising efforts and private donations to support our cause and provide food, supplies and medical care for our cats.  Long beach Felines does not operate a shelter facility.  All of our cats live in foster homes where they are given a safe haven and are provided with love and nurturing until they are adopted.  We are a no-kill organization that only euthanizes cats when it is medically deemed the only humane option.
